Who we are
Mbhashe FM is a community based radio station that broadcast local content 24 hours to the community of Mbhashe Municipality and surrounding communities in the Amathole District Municipality. Mbhashe FM is a fully registered community radio station (Reg. No: 188-130 NPO), with the vision to be a community radio station. Mbhashe FM broadcasting from South Africa to the world from the rural areas of Mbhashe Municipality in the Eastern Cape. Mbhashe FM is all about uplifting the community of Mbhashe Municipality and the surrounding communities in the entire Amathole District Municipality through the use of radio.
Mbhashe FM is a licensee by the Independent Communications Broadcasting Authority of South Africa-ICASA. Mbhashe FM holds the following licences: The Electronic Communication Network Services (ECNS) and Class Broadcasting Services licence to broadcast in the Amathole District Municipality – (Mbhashe Municipality, Mnquma Municipality, Great Kei Municipality, Amahlathi Municipality, Raymond Mhlaba Municipality and Ngqushwa Municipality).
