Mbhashe FM is community based radio station that broadcast local content 24 hours to the community of Mbhashe, Mnquma Municipalities and the surroundings in the Amathole District Municipality in the Eastern Cape. The station was founded on 15 August 2013. Mbhashe FM was first licenced for ECNS licenced on the 22 June 2022 and fully licenced by Icasa with class licence on the 27 July 2023 and went on air on the 15 July 2024. Mbhashe FM main objective is to uplifting the community of Mbhashe Municipality (Dutywa, Gatyana , Xhorha) and all the surroundings in the Amathole District Municipality communities through the use of radio.

What we do?

We deliver a professionally  community centred and financially sustainable broadcasting services that informs, educate and entertain the community in conjuction with government and non governmental initiatives to render development and services.

Programming

Our programing cover’s everything in the entire community from news, youth, health, woman, government content, farming, tourism with a more talk compared to music with a more isiXhosa verses English.
